2010-2011 Program Schedule - In Formation

Yours, Mine & Ours enables both partners in an interfaith relationship to explore their feelings about religion and strengthen communication around sensitive questions such as:
  • How can we understand and respect each other's religious backgrounds?
  • How can we be close to both of our families?
  • How do we celebrate holidays?
  • How do we choose a religious identity for our children?

Yours, Mine & Ours is $180/couple (Introduction to Judaism participants will receive a $100/couple registration credit).

2010-2011 Program Schedule - In Formation

Introduction to Judaism

Introduction to Judaism provides an opportunity to learn about Jewish history, traditions, holidays and life cycle ceremonies. Participants will gain comfort and familiarity with the symbols, liturgy, music, traditions and Hebrew blessings that accompany Jewish celebrations in the home and synagogue. A dynamic team of Reform rabbis, cantors and educators teach this in-depth course.

Introduction to Judaism is designed for individuals and couples wishing to explore Judaism, as well as for those individuals considering becoming Jewish. Partners in an interfaith relationship are encouraged to enroll together.

Introduction to Judaism is $275/individual or $360/couple (Yours, Mine & Ours participants will receive a $100/couple registration credit).

Inside Interfaith Marriage

This program is designed for parents in an interfaith family who have decided to raise children within Judaism, offering opportunities to discuss feelings brought about by life cycle moments, holiday celebrations and extended family issues. Inside Interfaith Marriage provides support and appreciation to those partners from other faith backgrounds making a commitment to raise Jewish children.

Inside Interfaith Marriage is $50/couple.No cost for URJ Introduction to Judaism or Yours, Mine & Ours graduates.

New Beginnings

Are you considering conversion? Are you in the process of becoming Jewish? Have you recently converted? New Beginnings provides the opportunity to discuss the process of conversion. It also addresses the issue of relating to one’s family and community with a new religious identity.

New Beginnings is $36/individual or $50/couple. No cost for URJ Introduction to Judaism graduates.
